TLCs are Here to Help
By vision and design, The Villages are filled with energetic, friendly, fun-loving people. However, many normal life occurrences happen which can be stressful, painful and devastating. Loss issues abound as persons lose their good health, financial security, purpose and meaning and partners/spouses through death. Many bear the burden of becoming 24/7 caregivers. Many turn to drugs/alcohol trying to cope with painful circumstances. The coping skills of others are stretched as they deal with addicted partners, alienated adult children or adjusting to being with their spouses on a 24/7 basis. Still others suffer from loneliness, depression, anxiety or other emotional disorders. TLCs can and do help.
TLC Services began in April, 2017. Since then TLCs have served over 10,000 people.
TLC Services is a Nonprofit Organization
Services provided by TLC Services, Inc., are free. We do, however, appreciate donations to help cover our expenses (website, phone, printing, supplies).
United Way supports insurance costs for TLC clinical professionals.

Who are TLCs?
TLCs are retired mental health professionals who found great meaning in their work and continue to share their knowledge, skills, experience, and compassion with those who are facing emotional challenges and life transitions. TLC volunteers also include Transition Guides—individuals specially trained to support those who are grieving the loss of a loved one or coping with the stresses of caregiving—as well as administrative and technical volunteers who help make TLC’s services possible.
